👨‍👩‍👧 2. Children and Family Accounts

The Service supports students preparing for GCSE Turkish and may be used by children. A parent or guardian should create or supervise the account where required by law.

• We do not require a child's real name, photograph, date of birth or precise location.
• A learner may choose a fictional character name and emoji.
• There is no messaging with strangers. Free users may see optional rewarded ads; premium users do not see any ads.
• Parents can review progress and delete the account from the Parent Dashboard.

If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

📋 3. Data We Collect

• Account: email address and encrypted password (or Apple/Google sign-in token)
• Profile: display name chosen by the user and avatar emoji
• Progress: words practised, quiz scores, streaks, XP and daily session data
• Purchases: subscription or one-off purchase status (payment is processed by Apple; we do not store card details)
• Usage: app features accessed, error logs and crash reports
• Device: platform, OS version and push notification token (for optional study reminders)

• Save and sync study progress across devices

• Verify purchases and manage subscriptions
• Diagnose errors and improve the app
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for targeted advertising and we do not sell it to third parties. Optional rewarded ads use non-personalised requests only.

🔒 5. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on servers located in the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords and access controls to protect your data. No security system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access.

🤝 6. Third Parties

• Apple App Store — processes in-app payments; Apple's Privacy Policy applies to payment data
• Apple / Google Sign-In — optional; only your email address is passed to us
• Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection
• Google Text-to-Speech — audio generation; no identifiable user data is sent

We do not integrate third-party analytics or social-media tracking SDKs. The app uses Google AdMob for optional rewarded ads (free users only), with non-personalised ad requests. No advertising profiles are built.

⏱️ 7. Retention

Account and progress data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes all personal data within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate statistics may be retained.
